Too many "meh" players.

Really, I like Jrue Holiday and that's about it. Thad is starting to play more consistent, and that's good. But as constructed, they're in trouble. Iguodala is an excellent player, but his salary cripples the team when he's a second banana at best, probably better suited as a third.

And we both feel the same about Brand. Turner is underwhelming. Not declaring him a bust or anything, but just underwhelming for the No. 2 pick.

The team has no bigs to speak of. Speights has been disappointing for the most part. I think they're still at least 3 years away from even thinking about winning a playoff series.

Can they get in? Everyone has a chance with the bottom of the East being so bad. But they aren't anywhere close to playoff success yet.

Oh, and they always have a game like this against Boston, and always have one stretch of good basketball each year. Ultimately, it ends in the same old story. Mediocre at best, terrible at worst.Reverend Paul Reverehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02293762371442776830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2846784286167706893.post-13394185610866377482010-12-10T11:59:22.023-05:002010-12-10T11:59:22.023-05:00Congrats to Coach Dunphy, but I wish it hadn't...Congrats to Coach Dunphy, but I wish it hadn't come at the expense of my Hoyas.

Boston-Philly was a pretty good game, throughout. You may wanna be glad you missed it, though. Philly played hard and Iggy, Jodie Meeks, and others made some clutch plays, but it still wasn't enough to win. Philly's a strange team, but it doesn't seem like they're that far away from at least being back in the postseason.Kennyhttp://twitter.com/soulonice6noreply@blogger.com
