It's Friday, Time to Dance

As you all are aware of by now, I went to college at Penn State. While there, I met a kid from Maine and became great friends with him right from freshman year. A friend of his from high school moved out west to San Diego, and being a sick drummer, found his way into a band. That band is Children of Nova, and last night, they played at The Fire right here in Philadelphia, literally a couple blocks from my house. And they fucking rocked the shit out of that place. Honestly, one of the best bands I've ever seen live. Awesome show.

My buddy from Maine was naturally in town to see them, and we all met up. Before they went on, we met the entire band, and honestly, they're really cool guys. Real down to earth, real congenial. They apparently won best hard rock band at the San Diego Music Festival, and it was easy to see why. Since then, they've gotten a song on Rock Band, pulled their money together to buy a big conversion van and a trailer, and have been driving across the country on a national tour — just five guys living out of their van and kicking ass on stage.

After the show, we took them all to get cheesesteaks, and they couldn't have been more appreciative. Honestly, some of the most chill guys I've ever met, and they put on one hell of an awesome show. Enjoy.

Check them out.

Oh, and Kyle Kendrick sucks.

BallHype: hype it up!
