As I'm sure you're all well aware of, the atrocious, quite possibly racist and most certainly horrific Sixers mascot Hip-Hop has been mercifully put down by the new ownership.
Coincidentally, the Eagles were also officially put down last night in a predictably embarrassing effort out in Seattle. Might as well put in a waiver claim for Donovan McNabb for old time's sake, am I right?
I hate everyone on this team but LeSean McCoy.
Enjoy the weekend.

It's Friday, Time to Dance
Last night's Flyers game was the stupid hockey game I've ever watched in my entire life. Anyone who thinks an 8-7 game is entertaining is an idiot. That was just awful, awful hockey, made even more awful by the fact the Flyers lost.
It was a sloppy game with absolutely no defense. Chris Pronger was terrible, pretty much just standing around all night. And the Flyers' power play was an embarrassment, and that's in a game with 15 goals scored. I hated that game and I hate all of you. Dance time.
Clearly, Chris Bosh got pissed about this and went off for 35 points on Wednesday.
That's one catchy song right there.
And in honor of Chad Pennington's career finally coming to an end, enjoy his awkward whiteness while listening to Eminem.
Sixers-Bucks tonight. I'll be there. Eagles-Giants on Sunday night. I'll be there too. And a bunch of stuff in between. Enjoy the weekend.
Work sucks.

It's Friday, Time to Dance (Again)
I saw this last night:
Apparently, LeBron really like Eminem. And beating the Lakers. Because for the second time this season, the Cavs topped L.A., and LeBron was a beast, scoring 37 points including a torrid streak in the fourth quarter. The guy is good at basketball. And he knows every word to that Eminem song.

It's Friday, Time to Dance
Well, it's Good Friday, and Sunday is Easter. And the star of Easter is the Easter Bunny, leaving colored eggs with candy and money inside them. And a bunny is a rabbit, so enjoy the lyrics of one B-Rabbit in one of the most ridiculous movies ever made.
And make sure you tune into the Phils today, a 4:10 start, to watch Cole Hamels' first start since being named World Series MVP. I'll be lucky enough to watch, seeing as my office is closing early today. And then on Sunday, off to the Wachovia Center to watch the Flyers take on the Rangers in the final game of the regular season. Should be a nice little weekend.

So, we beat the Giants...
...and here we are again. In what is becoming a Philadelphia tradition, we find ourselves in early December with an Eagles team that is maddeningly inconsistent and that lacks an identity. A team that is bordering on mediocrity but shows flashes of the potential many saw to begin the season. Is the real Eagles team the one who fumbled on a potential game-winning drive against the Cowboys, failed to get 1 yard with two plays to do so against the Bears and Giants, and blew a double-digit lead against the Redskins at home? Or is it the team that dismantled the Cardinals, beat the Steelers, and imposed their will against the Giants?

There is more evidence to support the former. Their 7-5-1 record is as unimpressive as it is unsexy. There is the late game and short-yardage shortcomings in the Cowboys, Giants, and Bears games. Their is the blowout in Baltimore. The meltdown against the Redskins. And the TIE against the BENGALS. Ouch. The play calling has continued to be stale and predictable, and clock management has been consistently poor.
And then there is the other Eagles. The Eagles that many expected to see week in and week out at the beginning of the year. The team that put up 48 against the Cardinals. The team that beat the defending champs yesterday. The team that beat the Steelers. These Eagles actually run the ball. They utilize their best playmaker. They switch up the play calling and keep the defense off balance. This Eagles team is impressive, it is fun to watch, and it can play with anybody.

Unfortunately for us, we find ourselves back in this familiar spot. Each week we turn on the game and have no idea which Eagles team we are going to watch. At 7-5-1, they could finish as poorly as 7-8-1. Mediocre. They would miss the playoffs and not even have a stud draft pick as a consolation prize. That would leave us with more questions than answers, and a whole lot of frustration and disappointment. Or they could finish as good as 10-5-1. That would most likely get them in the playoffs. And once you're in, anything could happen. So we'll watch the final 3 games, we will wait to see which Eagles team shows up, and see where that leaves us. But the inconsistency is killing me, so would the real Eagles please stand up.
