It's Friday, Time to Dance

I don't know how or why it happened, but some time this past decade the god damn Black Eyed Peas have become the official house band for every sporting event known to man, and to be perfectly honest, it drives me insane. There is nothing, nothing that gets me less fired up than hearing "Tonight's gonna be a good night," before a Flyers playoff game. Or a Phillies game. Or a Sixers game. Or any other god damn game I'm at. Yet it's played, over and over and over and over.

Thankfully, Jeff Tweedy is here to restore sanity to the world with a truly remarkable cover/takedown of that god-awful song.

Anyway, we have a two-fer today. Since Penn State hosts Alabama at 3:30 tomorrow, here is this.

Busy sports weekend. The Phillies continue their four-game set with the Brewers, who Cole Hamels absolutely dominated last night with a complete game in a 7-2 win, the second weekend of college football is underway highlighted by said Penn State-Alabama tomorrow, and the first NFL Sunday of the season kicks off with the Eagles taking on the Rams at 1 in St. Louis.

My couch will be earning its keep this weekend.
