Early Christmas Present for Syracuse

As in more than a year early. Philadelphia native and Academy New Church senior Rakeem Christmas, who was recently named to the Elite 24 game, has committed to syracuse, following in the footsteps of Philly great Hakim Warrick, who won a national championship for the Orange alongside Carmelo Anthony.

I've only seen Christmas play once, and he was underwhelming, though clearly incredibly talented. You can bet your ass I'm going to get out and see him play this year, hopefully watching him mature and really develop in his senior season before becoming a rival to Villanova up in Syracuse. He certainly has all the ability in the world.

Looking at him, Christmas definitely reminds me of Friends' Central and Syracuse alum Hakim Warrick.

BallHype: hype it up!
