Cliff Lee, Still the Greatest Man Who Ever Lived
First career playoff game: 9 innings pitched, 6 hits, 1 run, 5 strikeouts and 1-for-2 at the dish with a stolen base and a sacrifice bunt to boot to pick up the 5-1 win. Yep, Cliff Lee is still the greatest man who ever lived.
I'd say Charlie made the right move starting Lee in game 1, huh?

Dammit, I missed the game. Last night's Tigers-Twins had me hooked (even though it wasn't technically a playoff game). October baseball is the shit.
ReplyDeleteWill this blog be the beginning of the new series we saw like last post-season, when Philly made their run?
Thanks for asking, SoulOnIce, but no, the Reverend will not be gracing us with thoughtful, in-depth posts on this year's postseason run for the Phils. Instead he will be gracing us with 2,000 word recaps of regular season NHL games. Don't worry though, you'll still get a google-imaged pic from the Phillies game along with a quick blurb telling you the final score of the game. Go Flyers!!!
ReplyDeletewhat he said … also, I had about 8,000 less responsibilities at work last year AND I didn't get to freakin watch the game yesterday because I was at work. I'll be gettin all up in this bitch fo sho tho. Especially over the weekend
