Phils Somewhat Surprising NLDS Roster

The NLDS roster is set:

Pitchers (12): LH Cliff Lee (Game 1 starter), LH Cole Hamels (Game 2 starter), RH Joe Blanton, LH J.A. Happ, RH Pedro Martinez, RH Ryan Madson, RH Brad Lidge, LH Scott Eyre, RH Chad Durbin,  RH Brett Myers, RH Kyle Kendrick, LH Antonio Bastardo.
Catchers (2): Carlos Ruiz, Paul Bako.
Infielders (6): Ryan Howard, Chase Utley, Jimmy Rollins, Pedro Feliz,Miguel Cairo, Greg Dobbs.
Outfielders (5): Raul Ibanez, Shane Victorino, Jayson Werth, Ben Francisco, Matt Stairs.

As Chris put it, surprisingly, there is no Eric Bruntlett or Clay Condrey. No Tyler Walker either. And perhaps most surprising of all, Antonio Bastardo is on the roster. I won't question Charlie, especially on the Bruntlett decision (because Bruntlett sucks), but it's certainly a little jarring to see Condrey and Walker, two guys who have pitched very well for the Phillies this season, off the list and Bastardo and Kendrick on the list. Though to be fair, Condrey has been hurt so who knows what to expect, while Kendrick has performed very well since being recalled. Bastardo is a bit stunning to me, seeing he hasn't been a factor since the early season, but the guy pitched very well himself when called upon.

Perhaps this means J.A. Happ stays in the rotation? No idea, but the roster is set. Let's start the insanity.

BallHype: hype it up!
