The Reverend Rankings — I'm an Idiot

So yesterday, I told you how I was going to rank my five favorite and least favorite players from the four major Philadelphia sports franchises in the coming weeks/months. Well, scratch part of that, because it turns out I already listed my 5 least favorite players for each of the four teams back in December.

My apologies. December seems like an eternity ago. So you can forget about my list of least favorite players. That's been done. I'll get to my favorite Flyers, Sixers and Eagles down the road. Just for shits and giggles though, I'll simply list the 20 players I despise in that post from December. Enjoy.

Phillies:

1. Adam Eaton; 2. Mitch Williams; 3. David Bell; 4. Travis Lee; 5. Jose Mesa

Flyers:

1. Karl Dykhuis; 2. Eric Desjardins; 3. John Vanbiesbrouck; 4. Roman Cechmanek; 5. Jiri Dopita

Sixers:

1. Kyle Korver; 2. Willie Green; 3. Tyrone Hill; 4. Shavlik Randolph; 5. Matt Harpring

Eagles:

1. Chris Boniol; 2. Todd Pinkston and James Thrash; 3. Mark Simoneau; 4. Reno Mahe; 5. Sean Morey

  1. Mitchie Poo as number 2 (no pun intended, well maybe a little)?

I would definitely put Wes Helms, Rod Barajas or Freddie Garcia up there before the Wild Thing.

  2. Mitch Williams ruined my life prior to last year. It pained me not to have him No. 1. Fuck Mitch Williams and fuck anyone that defense Mitch Williams. Two blown saves in the WS. Enough said.

  3. It IS hard to argue with that.

  4. Also, the more I think about it, I really do hate Mitch Williams more. When I decided to write this again, he was going to be No. 1 for sure. Problem is, I already wrote the damn thing and had him 2.

He did at least help in the playoffs before, but I hate him so very much. Him and Eaton are neck and neck.

  5. Wes Helms and Rod Barajas are good candidates, but Freddy didn't even qualify as a Phillie to me. What did he play in, two, three games?

  6. God I hope Eaton pitches when the O's visit in June. That is, if he's still in the rotation.

Freddy must have only pitched 2-3 games including that $10mil win. I guess I just hold a grudge against that one.

Barajas crushed a grandslam during his first series back at CBP as a Blue Jay. I was "lucky" enough to be in attendance. You can understand the hatred behind that one I'm sure.

  7. Todd Pinkston's a certified pussy. I can't remember what game I saw, where he blatantly alligator-armed a deep ball from McNabb. That was the last straw for me.
