Holy balls, the Giants released Plaxico Burress!
Wow. Just wow. No matter how you look at it, this is great news for the Eagles. Over the years, the Birds have not been able to cover Plaxico to save their lives. Now, they won't have to worry about it, at least not when they play the Giants. This is just great news.
And, it kinda got me thinking. What if Plaxico gets off without any jail time and just a minimal, if any, suspension from Roger Goodell? Is it at all possible the Eagles, always in need of a big-play, big-bodied receiver to quell their red zone troubles, could give Plax a look? Probably not, but wouldn't that be something. Anyway, good news for the Eagles all around.
Update: Apparently, Gary Sheffield is a Met, so I guess he's not going to be a Phillie.

If there is a god (which there most certainly isn't; suck on that, Rheal Cormier!), Plaxico and Mike Vick would both end up in Oakland.
ReplyDeleteThat would be fucking awesome.
Wow. Yeah, that would be the best thing ever.
