That's a Good Way to Make Your Case

Shane Victorino would kindly like your vote to make his first All-Star appearance. What better way to sway the masses than by getting a walk-off RBI single that would not only get Phils fans even more enthused about voting for Shane, but be played over and over on ESPN to impress fans across the nation?

After letting a ball drop in the 4th inning that ended up costing the Phils due to some miscommunication with Jayson Werth in the outfield, Victorino totally redeemed himself.

Big ups to Jayson Werth for his solo home run to tie the game in the 6th, and Ryan Howard for singling in Victorino in the 4th to get back one of the two runs the Phils surrendered in the top of the inning.

Victorino went 2-for-4 with a run and that game-winning RBI. On a sidenote, chances are even if Shane doesn't win the final fan-voted roster spot for the All-Star game, he'll get selected by Charlie Manuel anyway to take Carlos Beltran's spot. Beltran will be sitting out the mid-summer classic due to injury.

Either way, last night's heroics definitely helped his chances.

BallHype: hype it up!
