So This is What a World Championship Feels Like

...grim death. I feel like absolute shit.

However, it is absolute shit coated in pure joy. Thinking back to the day of elation that was Friday is something that will bring a smile to my face forever. Being six rows from the field in CBP for the culmination of the parade, and the championship season, was beyond incredible. Like well over a million of our Philadelphia brethren, we got to show the players just how much their win meant to us. We could see the joy on their faces as they could see it in ours.

After all the horrible weather that so agonizingly had its effect on the series, Friday was the most beautiful day I've ever seen. As King Colbert said, I would love to do it again, and again, and again. Phinally, we had the feeling that all was good.

As I sit here preparing to enter my credit card information into Sports Illustrated's website, I would just like to say Thank You to the 2008 Philadelphia Phillies. Thanks for playing hard every day. Thanks for having such a great attitude. Thanks for keeping such an even keel when we were having heart attacks with every win and loss. Thanks to Charlie for believing in his players and lettin' them play real good. Thanks to the players for letting Charlie manage them real good and making him look real good. This season and particularly the playoff run was one of the greatest experiencies of my life in or outside of sports. Seeing how much it meant to the team and seeing them recognize how much it meant to us was extremely gratifying and emotional.

Lastly, thank you for the world championship caliber hangover/sickness that I am experiencing right now. It is the greatest awful feeling I've ever had.
I'd love to write more about how amazing this has been and post pictures and such, but I really don't have the energy. Chase said it best.
The 2008 Philadelphia Phillies. World Fucking Champions. Believe it, say it with conviction, and say it again. World Fucking Champions.
