Tim Tebow is the Greatest Man Who Ever Lived

Last night's BCS title game, no matter what your feeling are on the BCS, was an extremely entertaining and great game. Oklahoma choked away chance after chance inside the 10, essentially handing the title over to Florida. Certainly, Florida made some big plays and deserved to win, but there seemed to be an awful lot of choking on the part of the Sooners.

Either way, it was a great full of incredibly hard hits, like this:

Major Wright? More like Major Payne.

Percy Harvin was a beast, and I absolutely would want him on my team. He supposedly wasn't even 100 percent yet was still by far the fastest guy on the field. That guy is fun to watch.

Anyway, like I said, it was a great game … with the single worst announcing crew in the history of mankind. First of all, someone explain to me how CBS or ABC does not outbid Fox for the BCS rights? Fox plays exactly zero college football games of note during the season, yet somehow we're forced to be subjected to a Fox broadcast in the biggest game of the year. How does that make any sense?

Especially, as Fanhouse pointed out, when the announcers suck horribly. I mean, they didn't even know what fucking down it was:

With all honesty I can say that Thom Brennaman and Charles Davis were the worst announcing duo I've ever heard call a college football game. And I've listened to Pam Ward before.

Nothing was worse than in the final five minutes of the game. Brennaman and Davis, Brennaman especially, were gushing over Tim Tebow like he was fucking Mother Teresa. OK, we get it, Tebow is a missionary who has traveled the world. He's a good guy and a good player. We get it. But they were fawning over him like a fucking school girl. It was completely unprofessional and nauseating.

They were making it sound as if there has never been another college student in the world who has done wonderful things. It was over the top and disrespectful to the other players on the field. Not once did we hear about the accomplishments of any of the other players off the field, save for a mention of Sam Bradford's GPA.

It was a crock of shit, and Fox should be completely ashamed of itself for putting forth one of the all-time worst broadcasts in college football history. Thank God ESPN has the rights next year. I can't believe I just typed that.

BallHype: hype it up!
