Dwyane Wade Makes His Case to be in My Fav 5

If the season were to end today, LeBron James would be the league's MVP. No one can dispute this. Garnett got his ring and already has an MVP under his belt. Kobe got his last year. This year, no one has been better than LeBron, whose Cavaliers are just tearing up the league right now.

Well, no one is playing as well as LeBron James except for Dwyane Wade. Just check out the numbers:

James—27.1 ppg, 6.8 rebounds, 6.4 assists, 2 steals, 1.2 blocks, .488 from the field, .801 ft.

Wade—28.6 ppg, 5 rebounds, 7.2 assists, 2.2 steals, 1.6 blocks, .486 from the field, .756 ft.

Wade leads the league in points per game with James right behind. He has a terrible Miami team that boasts the likes of Marcus Banks, Mark Blount and Chris Quinn over .500 (12-11), and he's basically done it all by himself. LeBron received reinforcements in the way of Mo Williams and a commitment by the team and coach to defense. It has brought his game to new heights and is establishing the Cavs as a true threat to the Celtics. But D-Wade is doing it all by his lonesome. Sure, Beasley offers potential and Marion can ball, but if you watch a Heat game, it's clear Wade is doing it virtually alone. Here are just a couple of his awe-inspiring plays of late, courtesy of Dime.

  1. I'm just not sure that Marion can still ball. I guess we'll see what happens if he gets traded to the Cavs...

Got to feel bad for Wade though. That team's abyssmal.
